An ambassador for the UNITED24 fundraising platform, Andriy Shevchenko, traveled to Dnipro, a city near the front line, to support Ukrainian doctors, the wounded, children and families who have suffered from the war Russian-Ukrainian.
During the visit, the star coach and footballer stopped at the Regional Center for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine, the Regional Clinical Hospital for Children and the Regional Clinical Hospital, named after after II Mechnikova.
“I spoke to the doctors at the emergency medical center. The one who received ALV devices for ambulances, which we purchased through UNITED24. I want to thank everyone who donates money. Every dollar you save saves someone’s life.” says Andriy Shevchenko.
At the children’s hospital, the Under-24 Ambassador spoke with medical staff, including Oleksandr Makarevych, an anesthesiologist at the Children’s Disaster Medicine Department. His team received one of the VLTs purchased with donations from UNITED24 donors.
In addition, Andriy Shevchenko visited a polytrauma intensive care unit and met injured children from Bakhmut, Nikopol, Toretsk and Siversk during his trip.
