Lovelace Medical Center Appoints Brian Miller as Chief Operating Officer

ALBUQUERQUE – Lovelace Health System has appointed Brian Miller as chief operating officer of Lovelace Medical Center and administrator of Heart Hospital of New Mexico, effective June 6, 2022.

Miller brings more than 15 years of healthcare experience, most recently as vice president of operations at Baptist Health in Fort Smith, Ark. During her time at Baptist Health, Miller was responsible for day-to-day operations, budget and patient care. for two acute care facilities, with 592 licensed hospital beds and more than 40 primary and specialty care clinics. Under his leadership, Baptist Health developed new service line strategies for oncology, women’s and children’s health, behavioral health, and general medicine, resulting in overall volume growth of 20% for the western region of Arkansas.

Miller earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and a master’s degree in operations engineering from the University of Arkansas. He is a member of the Institute of Labor Matters and American College of Health Executives.

Lovelace has a hospital in the Rio Rancho area that serves local residents.
