Medical camp organized in the village of Wensoi; Ensure that medical facilities reach remote locations

In order to ensure that the medical facilities reach the local population, the Noklak Battalion of Assam Rifles under the umbrella of HQ 7 Sector Assam Rifles/HQ Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) today organized a medical check camp free in the most remote village of Wensoi. in the Noklak district of Nagaland.

The main objective of this medical camp was to provide free medical treatment to the local population by a specially constituted medical team from this unit.

About more than 100 villagers from Wensoi and nearby hamlets attended the camp.

The free medical camp was started for local villagers, suffering from various ailments such as upper respiratory tract infections, insect bites, diarrhea, dysentery, typhus, back pain and other skin infections.

In addition, the treatment, Dr HR Prasad, SMO, 14 Assam Rifles also raised awareness on the importance of vaccine preventable disease for children and the importance of COVID-19 inoculation.

At the end of the free medical examination, Chief GB – Putchong and Ponyang, Chairman of Wensoi Village Council expressed their sincere gratitude to the paramilitary troop for their caring, distribution of free medicine to villagers and other deeds of selfless service and kindness. .
