Dubai: Several medical institutions in the United Arab Emirates have offered free and cheap Covid-19 PCR tests. The offer is announced as schools across the country reopen for the new school year from August 29.
In accordance with guidelines issued by the Nation’s Knowledge and Development Authority, all students aged 12 and over, teaching and administrative staff, and service providers in public schools must obtain a negative PCR test result no later than late 96 hours before the start of the new school year.

Free PCR test:
UAE residents in specific eligible categories can obtain a PCR test free of charge at any center operated by Emirates Health Services (EHS) in the seven Emirates. Appointments are by reservation only. Residents can use the Covid-19 EHS app to book appointments and find center locations.
Iranian Hospital in Dubai: Offers Covid testing for Dh 50 only for students and educators in schools and universities.
Seha Covid-19 screening centers in Dubai Parks and Al Khawaneej: SEHA offers Covid-19 screenings for 50 Dh or free for Emiratis.
First response health care: Reservations can be made on the FHR website and are available for Dh99.
NMC Medical Center, Deira and NMC Al Nahda Specialist Hospital: NMC Healthcare branches in Dubai offer PCR testing of Dh100 in Deira and Dh120 in Al Nahda. NMC Medical Center, Deira and NMC Al Nahda Specialty Hospital, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Right Health Al Quoz Mall: The PCR test is offered for 90 Dh.
Lifeline Modern Family Clinic: PCR tests will be done at home. Those interested can call +971524061829 and reserve slots for Dh99.
