Texoma Medical Center opens a new outpatient surgery center

DENISON, Texas (KXII) – A groundbreaking ceremony was held Tuesday afternoon for the new location of its outpatient surgery departments at Texoma Medical Center.

The new facility includes three operating theaters, a gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy room, as well as a pain medicine and procedure room.

After surgery, patients would then be transferred and recovered in a 17-bed post-anesthesia care unit.

TMC CEO Ron Seal said it was an estimated cost of $12 million for the new facility.

“We are extremely blessed, we have great support from the communities we serve and that is what has allowed us to grow the way we have, but we want to be the best of the best, we want to have the quality of care and also growth, in that order, so we’ve been able to do that over the years because of the community support that we have,” Seal said.

TMC COO Matt Malinak said it’s been in the works for a few years, but he’s excited to finally see it come to life for the community.

“The surgery center here provides state-of-the-art technology and allows you to complete your procedure in the safest, most secure and fastest way possible,” Malinak said.

TMC will transfer its outpatient surgery services from the main hospital to the new facility next Monday.
